We all feel the obvious benefits of weight lifting & strength training. But a new study has revealed another significant benefit; a longer life.

Lifting weights helps us get stronger, build muscle & improve definition. It helps us feel good too, thanks to a release of endorphins post excercise. But a new study of over 100,000 across 10 years reveals those who strength train are more likely to live longer, as shared at time.com.
The study published by British Journal of Sports Medicine found those who lift once to twice a week to have a 9% lower risk of dying from any cause there than cancer.
Furthermore, people who combined one to two days a week of strength training with cardio faired even better; with a 41% lower risk.
Something to think about next time you’re thinking of skipping a day…
